Marvin Goldstein and Vanessa Joy Share Talents at December Benefit Concert
The talented and spirited entertainers Marvin Goldstein and vanessa Joy will present a concert of popular and holiday music – all as part of a special benefit event. Sponsored by Writers Unite to Fight Cancer, the concert will benefit Serena, a young woman with Stage III astrocytoma-glioma (brain tumor).”I am elated that I get to participate,” Vanessa says, “I live right here in Arizona, and I am thrilled to able to donate my time, energy and voice for these events. My heart goes out to Serena and others in need and singing is one way I am ble to contribute. I truly hope that we will be able to raise a lot of money for this great cause.”
Vanessa Joy is an award-winning vocalist and thatrical performer. She earned a degree in music from Brigham Young Univeristy. She performed with Showtime Tour Company. Vanessa has performed around the united states and in Israel, Jordan, Italy, Greece, and Turkey and for teh USO at the Wounded Warriors Center in Germany. She recently released two solo albums: “The voice” and “Sweet By and By”. Marvin, a highly acclaimed pianist began musica training at age 9. At 18, he was awareded a music scholarhsip to Tel Avivi Univeristy School of Music in Israel. He continued his formal training at the “Mozarteum” of Salzburg, Austria and recieved bachelor’s and masters’ degrees in music at Florida State Univeristy. Marvin has recorded over 40 CD’s including popular music, patirotic melodies, show tunes, sacred music and love songs.
