I loved Florence. Seeing the David statue by Michelangelo was something I had only dreamed about doing. I had no idea how much detail was in his face until I was able to view him in person, it is hard to describe the detail, it is not as clear in pictures. I was unable to take photo’s in the museum, but there were other replicas outside the museum around the city of Florence. In fact the original was replaced with a replica in the city’s public square and I was able to go there and see that too. After enjoying and paying a human statue I got a picture with him too. This was an amazing day!
