The second habit of Stephen Covey’s famous “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” is to begin with the end in mind. I admit, I’ve read this book 3 times and still learn from it.
He explains that when you write down your dream obituary it helps you to ponder on what you want to do in your life, and how you want to live it. When you think about what you want people to be saying about you at your funeral it really puts your life into prospective.
What do you want your life to look like when it comes to the end?
What do you want said about you?
How do you want to be remembered?
When you spend time pondering on these questions and allow yourself to imagine the life you want to live, hopefully it will awaken dreams inside of you that you never thought were possible.
With vision for your life, you develop self disciple. When you define what a successful life is for you, it will motivate you to go live it.
Years ago I got to sing at a convention where Stephen Covey spoke.
Until you figure out what it means to live a successful life for YOU, you will continue to struggle staying inspired to work on your goals.
Once you have your vision in front of you you will never look back. It will motivate and inspire you to get up every day to work toward your dreams and go after your vision.
I have a book titled Live Your Best Life. I created this book to inspire you to want to live your dreams. It will help you discover why you are here and help you find your purpose. When you take control of your life, you will live a life full of fulfillment.
Hope this encourages you!
