Hope you are doing well.

This is the season where most of us start getting sick with the flu, and the common cold. I really hope you are healthy and staying strong. Eating good foods will keep you feeling your best, and I’ll talk about that in a future post. Today, I want to talk about humor, and how it can boost your immunity.

Last week we talked about how a little silliness during your day can reduce stress greatly. The phrase, laughter is the best medicine, is a great statement. Isn’t it incredible that humor can help protect you against sickness? The instant you smile, your body gets stronger. The antibodies are released into your system and bloodstream when you smile. Which protects you, and gives you the best defense against disease. Amazing right?

So watch something funny today. Find the humor in your day. Look for the humor and let out a laugh, or at the very least a smile.

Music can be a powerful tool to lift our spirits too. Our concerts have a lot of laughter and funny moments. If you missed it last week, click on the video link below for wholesome family entertainment.

Humor reduces stress. If you laugh for 20 seconds it could double your heart rate, lower blood pressure, and respiratory rate. It gets rid of body tension too. The more often you laugh, the more long-lasting the relief.

Hope this encourages you,

Vanessa Joy
