“Watchman Tell Us Of The Night” by Vanessa Joy is on the album “Joy To the World” and can be found here or you can listen to it here in Vanessa Joy’s store or here on youtube. It was written by a Unitarian poet named Sir John Bowring. It is taken from the book of Isaiah chapter 21 as well as Matthew 2:21 “Glory Beaming Star” This star was the same star that wisemen followed to meet the new born child. “Watchman Tell Us Of The Night” is about the vision Isaiah witnessed and talks about setting a watchman to observe the battle that was going on at that time. This hymn is associated with Christmas and with the celebration of the coming of our Savior Jesus Christ. It is a time of waiting, a season of expecting the birth of Jesus as well as His return . Are we anxiously waiting for his return? “The promised day of Israel” Are we ready for His second coming and are we looking forward to it?
